Moving to Mastodon

I've found it hard to tweet for a while now. I looked back noticed that the majority of my tweets predated 2017. I don't know if it was just the culture, but I didn't feel like I should post unless it provided value to somebody else. On Mastodon, things feel more... free?
This does feel strange. It was my home for many years, but seeing the absolute insanity that's going on Twitter is painful. My thoughts are with the employees losing their jobs and those still there having to deal with the unrealistic deadlines and pressure.
